  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Instructions

    2. In a bowl combine rolled oats, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.

    3. In another bowl whisk milk, egg, applesauce, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.

    4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold in diced apples and chopped pecans.

    5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared dish and bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set in the center.

    6. Let the oatmeal bake cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
